What makes you different?
Lillie's is different because they use the natural Alabama landscape. Normally, 30% of what they use in any given wedding is grown in Alabama instead of being ordered and shipped from out of state. That's why their bouquets look so natural.
How should a bride select a floral designer?
A florist is personal. Most florists in Birmingham are good business people and gifted artists. But the bride needs to find someone who she can connect with. Her reaction should be, "This florist gets me" instead of just filling out a form. The bride should definitely meet with several florists and go with one who best understands what she's wanting and gets the concept.
When meeting with the florist, the more photos the better. This will help your florist understand the feel of your wedding. Most brides are tempted to start with their colors but what your florist needs is the tone and concept the bride is going for.

And brides please remember, your wedding should be fun and relaxing for you, your friends and family. Do-it-yourself can be great and cost effective but not in the last 48 hours before the wedding. You don't want your maid of honor or future mother-in-law up a ladder hanging flowers when guests arrive. To avoid putting everyone under pressure, please hire a professional.
